Entering Makkah

It is a sunnah for the pilgrim to take bath on approaching and before entering Makkah, if this is possible for him, as the Prophet [s.a.w.s] did. It is good if he could make his entry in the daytime, as the Prophet[s.a.w.s] did.

Furthermore, the Prophet [s.a.w.s] used to enter Makkah from AlThaniyyah Al-‘Ulyaa, which is at Al-Buṭaha’, and exit it from AlThaniyyah Al-Suflaa. [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]. If a pilgrim could enter and exit Makkah from the places the Prophet [s.a.w.s] made his entry and exit that would be the best. If not, he could make his entry and his exit as is easy for him.

There is not a special supplication received from the Prophet [s.a.w.s] for entering Makkah.
